Ice Frost Dragon Installation Ao Shun 5 WH 1000x562px

Ice-Frost Dragon Ao Shun

Manufactured and produced by Anka Inflatables for Betop Culture Technology Co., Ltd., this monumental “Ice-Frost Dragon” (Ao Shun) installation was unveiled in early 2024 as part of the Year of the Dragon celebrations.
Designed by artist Xiao Di, the work reimagines the mythic Northern Sea Dragon King from Chinese lore — a symbol of strength, balance, and protection — through contemporary inflatable engineering.

The dragon spans 32 m in length, 20 m in width, and 18 m in height, with a total weight of about 4 tons. It features a four-chamber air system powered by seven 150 kW blowers, supported by external cranes to maintain the sweeping serpentine posture. The structure’s translucent membranes create a glacial, frosted sheen under natural light, while internal lighting transforms it into a glowing guardian figure after dark.

This project represents a convergence of cultural mythology, artistic vision, and precision fabrication, where Anka Inflatables brought Betop Culture’s concept to life — merging air, light, and form into a modern symbol of renewal and resilience.
